When hiring a campervan you usually have lots of questions before you actually hire it so we've put together a few of the most common questions to help you plan your holiday!
Q: Do you have wifi in the campervans?
A: Yes! When booking, ask a member of staff which van has this.
Q: What equipment is supplied with the campervan?
A: A standard set of kitchen equipment is supplied. Normally the hirer would bring their own bedding but pillows, sheets, duvets and towels can be purchased from Happy Campervan and used by the hirer.
Q: Do you allow dogs?
A: We have certain vans which are dog-friendly but make sure you let us know before making the booking.
Q: Can I park my car safely?
A: Yes! We have a secure car park.
Q: What breakdown cover do you have?
A: We have national breakdown coverage aswell as a customer service vehicle available on call from the office.
Q: What do I need to bring to collect the campervan?
A: A valid driver’s licence & A second form of official photo ID.
please note there will be a need to check the counterpart of your driving licence with DVLA. You can always log into the DVLA website www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence and obtain a code. You can bring this code with you. However the code has a one-time use so don’t check it out. Also note the code is only good for 48 hours.
Q: What is the maximum age to hire a campervan?
A: The maximum age is 74 years and 360 days old as long as the hire period does not cross over the 75th birthday.
Q: Do you have campervans with disabled-facilities?
A: Yes, we have designed our first campervan with wheelchair users in mind. The van has an electric tail lift, a specially fitted bathroom and a separate bed if a carer is required on board. This is a pilot vehicle but we intend to add 2 additional vehicles this year (2019). The driver position in the vehicle is standard and no adaptions have been made.
We are very proud of the design work that has gone into this vehicle but we hope that we will receive feedback from clients to assist in future developments as these vehicles a purposely hand built by us and our contractors.
