PROS
- Simple to drive - you only need your normal driving license to drive a campervan which is one less thing to worry about when hiring.
- Easy to park - similar to the first pro, you are still only driving a slightly bigger version of your car (depending on your car) which means parking is so much easier. You can park on the side of the road without taking up over half the road! Popping to the supermarket is also stress-free because you only take up 1 parking space.
- Cheaper to rent than a motorhome - if you've ever rented or looked at the prices of hiring a motorhome, you'll notice it's always a bit more expensive than a campervan.
- Everything you need all in one place - it doesn't matter where you're going, your compact camper has everything you need! From the items you brought from home to the essentials for making a cup of tea, wherever you are it's on hand.
- Counts as a single vehicle on the ferry - it might be a small pro but who doesn't want to save some money!

CONS
- Limited space - depending on which campervan you choose, the space can be limited. If you're spending a lot of time outdoors then it won't be a problem as it will only be for sleeping and a bit of chilling. Atleast you're spending quality time with whoever you're with!
- You need to pack up every time you want to go somewhere - this isn't a problem if you are exploring a new place everyday but if you want to stay in one place for a while you need to pack up and take the whole campervan with you. Again, this is a small con but worth thinking about.
- If it doesn't have a toilet then you need to find a campsite or a field! Quite a few campervan companies now come with a small toilet you can use - one of them is www.happycampervan.co.uk ;)
Overall, you can see from our blog post and many others that there are more pros than cons but everyone is different so having a checklist of each helps.
