7 WAYS TO BEAT THE WINTER BLUES

Winter getting you down?

You aren't alone! So, we've come up with 7 ways to fully embrace winter and get over those winter blues!

1. Get those jogging pants on

Go for a run or join an outdoor exercise class - ok so maybe we shouldn't have started with this one haha but as soon as you're warmed up you won't notice the cold. You also burn extra calories because you put more effort in to warm yourself up!

2. Plan your summer body

Winter is the best time to start planning or starting your summer body as it not only gives you enough time to actually see results but you can also cover up without feeling too hot like we all do in the summer time.

3. Book a winter holiday

When we say 'winter holiday', we mean having a holiday somewhere that is still cold so you can enjoy the snow and being cosy. Our top picks would be Snowdonia or The Scottish Highlands. Why not head over to www.happycampervan.co.uk for a great campervan holiday deal?

4. German markets

Winter is the only time to enjoy German mulled wine and a Bratwurst (a traditional German sausage). Just get wrapped up, take some cash out and you're good to go. Evening time is usually the best because the lights are all on and it's so cosy walking around!

5. A winter walk followed by a carvery

A winter walk with a carvery at the end is a proper English thing to do but we love it don't we? Walking is a known mood booster and when it's gloomy indoors, you need that boost with a treat to look forward to.

6. Don't let the dark evenings stop you

Sometimes the dark evenings fool us into feeling and thinking it's later than it is - hence why we probably go to bed earlier in the winter. The best thing to do is keep an eye on the time so you aren't fooled. Why not plan to go and see a movie or simply plan your evenings at home and don't let yourselves go to bed before a certain time!

7. Try the winter special deals

By this we mean try the Starbucks or Costa festive coffees like the Irish Velvet Latte from Costa or Pumpkin Spiced Latte from Starbucks. These tastes aren't available all year round so take up the offer before the next season comes!

Winter really doesn't need to just be a time we get through - you can enjoy it too!
